AI briefing

The AI briefing is your standing note to the AI about a site: who your customers are, how you speak to them, what to emphasize and what to avoid. adfit includes it in every analysis for that site, so the results reflect how you actually want to sound.

Write a briefing

Open your site's Settings and find the AI briefing card. Type your briefing into the text field (up to 4000 characters) and press Save briefing. The briefing is optional: without one, adfit simply works from what it learned in the site analysis.

Example briefing

“We sell handmade furniture to design conscious homeowners. Focus on quality and sustainability. Avoid discount language.”

What makes a good briefing

Short and specific beats long and general. A good briefing covers:

  • Who your customers are: the audience you actually sell to.
  • How you speak to them: your tone (formal or casual, bold or understated).
  • What to emphasize: the themes and strengths suggestions should lean into.
  • What to avoid: claims, wording or styles that don't fit your brand (for example discount language or superlatives).
  • Names and terms: product names or industry terms the AI should spell exactly right.

When the briefing applies

The briefing flows into every analysis started after you save it: ad analyses, site analyses and the weekly automatic refresh alike. Results that already exist don't change on their own.

After a big briefing change

Re-analyze your site and the ads that matter so the new guidance is reflected in their results: see Analyze your ads. Keep in mind that re-analyses count toward your monthly analysis quota.

Remove the briefing

Clear the text field and press Save briefing. From then on, analyses run without the extra guidance again.
