Personalization

Personalization depth

Personalization depth is a per-site setting that decides how many elements adfit changes on a page. Turn it down for a light touch, or up to personalize more of the page. It does not change your tone of voice.

Choose a depth

Open your site's Settings and find the Personalization depth card. Pick one of three levels and press Save depth.

CautiousOnly the most important elements. About 2 to 4 per page.
BalancedRecommendedA solid set of elements. About 5 to 8 per page.
BoldAs many elements as fit the page. About 8 to 10 per page.

Balanced is a good starting point for most sites. Move to Cautious if you want adfit to touch only the essentials, or Bold to personalize as much of the page as fits.

Depth sets the count, not the tone

Depth only changes how many elements adfit personalizes. It never makes the wording bolder, softer or more assertive. adfit always writes in the brand voice it learned from your site.

To guide the tone, use the AI briefing

The tone of voice comes from your AI briefing: your standing instructions about who your customers are, how you speak to them and what to avoid.

When a change to depth applies

A new depth applies to new work only: the next site analysis, ad analysis and any personalization you generate after you save it. It does not rewrite personalizations that already exist.

Refresh existing personalizations

To bring an existing personalization in line with a new depth, regenerate it: see Regenerate a personalization. Keep in mind that generating counts toward your monthly AI limit for the site.
