Bulk actions and export

As your list of personalizations grows, adfit gives you ways to work on many at once: publish or unpublish a batch, organize them with tags, switch how the list looks, and export everything to a spreadsheet or a data file.

List or cards

At the top of the Personalizations list, the view toggle switches between List (a table) and Cards. adfit remembers your choice per site, so each site opens the way you left it.

Organize with tags

Tags are your own labels for grouping personalizations, for example by campaign or by season. They carry no meaning to adfit: they are there to help you find things.

Filter by tag

Use the Tags filter in the toolbar to show only personalizations with the tags you pick. The trigger reads Tags, or Tags (N) when a filter is on, and Clear filter removes it. The filter appears once at least one of your personalizations has a tag.

Add, remove or set tags in bulk

Select the personalizations you want (see Select and act on several), then press Tags in the selection bar. Choose a mode:

  • Add: adds the tags you type to the selected personalizations and keeps their other tags.
  • Remove: shows every tag the selected campaigns actually carry, with how many of them have it. Pick the ones to remove; a campaign that doesn't have a tag simply isn't touched by it.
  • Set: replaces all tags on the selected personalizations with the ones you type. Leave it empty to clear their tags.

For Add and Set, type each tag and confirm, then apply. adfit tells you how many were updated. A campaign can carry up to 20 tags.

Select and act on several

Tick the checkbox on each personalization you want, or the checkbox in the table header to select the whole list. A selection bar appears showing how many are selected, with these actions:

  • Publish: activates the selected personalizations, up to your plan's publish limit. See Personalizations.
  • Unpublish: takes the selected personalizations back down. Visitors see your original pages again.
  • Tags: add, remove or set tags (see above).
  • Update baseline: reset the baseline for every page in the selection (see below).
  • Export: download just the selected personalizations (see Export).
  • Delete: permanently remove the selected personalizations. This cannot be undone.

Clear deselects everything. adfit only ever acts on personalizations you own, so a selection that reaches beyond your own site simply does nothing for those rows.

Update the baseline in bulk

Update baseline takes the current live text of your pages as the new baseline for every page in the selected personalizations. Since this also approves any changes you have not reviewed, adfit asks you to confirm first with a clear warning:

To update the baseline of a single change instead, use Update baseline inside the editor. See Edit a personalization.

Export to CSV or JSON

Export gives you a copy of your personalizations outside adfit, to keep a record or open in a spreadsheet. Use Export in the toolbar for the whole site, or Export in the selection bar for just the personalizations you selected. Then choose a format:

  • Download CSV: comma separated, one row per change. Pick this for Google Sheets, Numbers, or Excel in the US or UK.
  • Download CSV for Excel (Europe): the same rows, but semicolon separated. Pick this one if Excel with European regional settings shows everything crammed into one column.
  • Download JSON: a structured file with each personalization and its changes, handy for a developer or another tool.

The export includes the page path, the match (token, UTM values and mode), the persona name, the status, your tags, and each change as its original and new text. adfit confirms with Export ready. and your browser downloads the file.

Very large site exports are trimmed

A whole-site export of a very large list is limited to the first part of it. When that happens, adfit tells you how many of the total were exported, so it is never a silent cut. Export a smaller selection if you need a specific set.
