Upload your ads
adfit learns who your ads target and what they promise by reading the ad files you upload. This guide covers where to upload, which file formats are supported, the size limits, and how many ads each plan allows per site.
Where to upload
Open one of your sites and choose Ads in the site sidebar (in the Audience group). Drop files onto the upload area, or click it to browse. You can select several files at once; each file becomes one ad in the list below.
Good uploads are the creatives and copy you actually run: ad images, a PDF with your campaign copy, or a CSV or XLSX export from your ads platform.
You can upload before your snippet is connected
Uploading works at any time. Analyzing your ads becomes available once your snippet is installed and adfit has seen your site: see Analyze your ads.
Supported formats and size limits
Each file is checked when you upload it. adfit accepts:
- Images: PNG, JPG, WebP or GIF, up to 5 MB each.
- PDF documents: up to 8 MB and 30 pages. For longer reports, export just the relevant pages.
- Text and spreadsheets: TXT, MD, CSV or XLSX, up to 2 MB each.
Not supported:
- Video files: video ads can't be analyzed. Upload a still image or the ad's text instead.
- SVG images: not accepted for security reasons. Export the graphic as PNG or JPG.
- Legacy
.xlsspreadsheets: the old Excel format is not supported. Export the file as XLSX or CSV first.
Campaign exports work great
A CSV or XLSX export from your ads platform (for example Google Ads or Meta) can contain several ads in one file. adfit detects them and analyzes each ad separately: see Analyze your ads.
If a file is rejected, the upload area lists the file name with the reason (for example a size limit or an unsupported format). The other files in your selection still upload normally.
Keep personal data out of your files
Do not upload files containing personal data
Upload ad creatives and campaign copy, not customer data. Files should never contain personal data such as names, email addresses, phone numbers or customer records. adfit analyzes the content of every file you upload, so only upload material that is meant to be advertising.
How many ads you can upload
Each site has its own ads limit, depending on your plan. The header of the ads list shows a live counter (for example 12 of 50 ads) so you always know where you stand.
When a site reaches its limit, uploading pauses: delete an ad you no longer need to make room, or upgrade your plan for a higher limit. On the Free plan you can't upload ads, since AI analysis is part of the paid plans: see Plans & pricing.
Remove an ad
Open the menu at the end of an ad's row (or on its detail page) and choose Delete. This permanently removes the file and its analysis from adfit and frees up a slot for a new upload.
