Plans & billing

Manage your subscription

Managing your plan happens right on the adfit Billing page: view your plan, change it, pause it, cancel it, and reactivate it. Only your payment details live in a separate, secure payment portal.

Everything is on the Billing page

Go to Billing to see your current plan, billing interval and next payment date. Just below, the Manage subscription card holds the actions for your subscription:

  • Change plan to upgrade, downgrade, or switch between monthly and yearly billing.
  • Update billing details to change your payment method, billing address or VAT ID.
  • Pause subscription to take a break without canceling.
  • Cancel subscription to end your plan at the end of the period you've paid for.

Which actions appear depends on your subscription's status. For example, Pause subscription shows only while your plan is active, and once a cancellation is scheduled the cancel button is replaced by Keep my plan.

Changes take a moment to show

After any change you'll see Updating your subscription. This page updates in a moment. The page refreshes on its own once the change is confirmed. If it takes a little longer, you'll get a Refresh option, so you're never left waiting on a spinner.

Change your plan

Select Change plan to open the plans page. Your current plan is marked Current; every other plan shows Switch to this plan. Use the Monthly / Yearly toggle to change your billing interval on the same plan.

  • Upgrading (or switching interval) takes effect right away. The change is prorated: you're only charged or credited for the difference across the rest of your current billing period.
  • Downgrading to a smaller plan works the same way, unless your current usage is larger than the smaller plan allows. In that case adfit asks you to choose what stays active first (see below).

Downgrading to a smaller plan

Smaller plans include fewer active sites (and fewer published personalizations per site). If everything you have today already fits the smaller plan, the switch happens immediately. If it doesn't, adfit shows a short page so you decide what stays active, rather than choosing for you.

  1. Choose which sites stay active

If you have more active sites than the smaller plan allows, pick the ones to keep active. adfit preselects your newest sites up to the new limit; change the selection if you'd rather keep others.

  2. Choose which personalizations stay published

For each site you keep, if it has more published personalizations than the smaller plan allows, choose which ones stay published. Again, your newest are preselected.

  3. Confirm the downgrade

Select Confirm downgrade. The sites and personalizations you didn't keep are turned off, not deleted, so you can turn them back on later if you move to a larger plan again.

adfit only asks about the resource that's over the limit. If just your sites are over, you won't be asked about personalizations, and the other way around.

Confirming without changing keeps your newest

The newest items up to your new limit are preselected, so selecting Confirm downgrade without changing anything keeps your newest. Selecting Cancel changes nothing at all: your plan and your sites stay exactly as they are.

Using a custom domain?

If a site delivers the snippet from your own custom domain and that site is affected by the downgrade, the custom domain keeps delivering for 14 days, then falls back to cdn.adfit.io. Ad-blocker resistance is reduced after that.

Pause your subscription

Need a break without canceling? While your plan is active, select Pause subscription and confirm. While paused:

  • Your sites are not personalized.
  • You're not charged anything.
  • You can resume anytime from the banner on the Billing page.

When you resume, the sites that were active before you paused start being personalized again automatically.

Republish your personalizations after resuming

Auto-restore covers your sites, but not your published personalizations. Personalizations that were live before the pause are not republished for you when you resume. After resuming, open each site and publish again any personalizations you want live. This is deliberate, so nothing goes live again unless you decide it should.

Cancel your subscription

Select Cancel subscription and confirm. Your subscription stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for, so you keep full access until then, with no immediate cut-off. After that date, your account returns to the Free plan.

When you cancel, you can optionally tell us why you're leaving. It's a quick dropdown and entirely optional; it just helps us improve.

Changed your mind? Keep your plan

Until the end date, a cancellation is only scheduled, so you can still undo it. On the Billing page, the banner at the top offers Keep my plan. One select takes the cancellation back and your subscription renews as usual.

This works the same way for a trial set to end without converting and for a paid subscription set to cancel. Once the date has passed, the subscription has really ended and you start a new one from the plans page instead.

If you cancel while you're still in your 14-day trial, your trial simply ends and you're not charged. You keep trial access until it would have ended.

Update your billing details

Your payment method, billing address and VAT ID are managed in a separate, secure payment portal. Select Update billing details on the Billing page to open it. This is also where you add a working card if a payment didn't go through.

The portal handles only those billing details. Everything else about your plan (changing, pausing, canceling) stays on the adfit Billing page. When you're done, use the portal's link to return to adfit. For invoices and failed-payment help, see Payments & invoices.

What you can do at each stage

  • While active → change plan, pause, cancel, or update billing details on the Billing page.
  • While paused → Resume subscription from the banner on the Billing page.
  • While a cancellation is scheduled → undo it with Keep my plan on the Billing page.
  • After it has ended → start a new subscription from the plans page. The one-time 14-day trial isn't offered again.
