Site analysis
Before adfit can match your ads to your pages, it needs to understand your site. The site analysis captures what your site offers, who it speaks to and how it sounds, and this context flows into every ad analysis.
What the site analysis contains
You'll find the Site analysis card at the bottom of the Ads section. Once your site has been analyzed, it shows:
- Site type and Industry: what kind of site it is and the market it operates in.
- Audience: who the site speaks to.
- Use cases: what visitors come to the site to do.
- Brand voice: how the site sounds, so suggestions match your tone.
- Summary: a short description of the site in plain language.
- Pain points: the customer problems the site addresses.
Like the ad results, the site analysis is written in your site's language.
The first analysis runs by itself
You don't have to set anything up: the site analysis starts automatically together with your first ad analysis. If you'd like the site context before analyzing any ads, use Analyze site on the card to start it manually.
Either way, your snippet needs to be installed and connected first, since adfit reads your actual pages: see Install the snippet.
Re-analyze manually
After a redesign, a messaging change or new pages, use Re-analyze site on the card to refresh the analysis. The new result replaces the previous one.
You can start up to 4 manual re-analyses per site each month. When the limit is reached, the button pauses with a note; the weekly automatic refresh below keeps your analysis current in the meantime.
The weekly automatic refresh
Once a site has been analyzed, adfit re-analyzes it automatically once a week (at the start of the week), and only when your site has actually changed since the last analysis. There is nothing to configure, and it never uses up your quota:
- It does not count toward your monthly analysis quota.
- It does not count toward your manual re-analysis limit.
Which analyses use your quota
Site analyses you start (including the automatic first one) count toward the site's monthly analysis quota, just like ad analyses. Only the weekly automatic refresh is free. See Analyze your ads for how the quota works.
If a site analysis fails
A failed run shows an error on the card with a Retry analysis button. If a re-analysis fails, the previous intact analysis stays visible below the error, so your ad analyses keep working with the last good context.
